About Me

When I was 7 years old, I remember sneaking out of my second-floor bedroom at 10 p.m. every week night and quietly sitting down in the staircase where I could watch the evening news from the living room television. I am pretty sure my dad knew I was violating the curfew, but he never told my mom or punished me; it was our secret. I already knew then that I wanted to work in the media industry.

I am a double major in communication studies and journalism. I started college studying business administration because I thought that my speaking and writing skills in English were not strong enough to study my passions. However, I decided to pursue my dream my sophomore year. It was a hard journey, but I am glad I took the decision to my switch major. I am now studying in fields I am very passionate about. As a professional soccer player, I want to focus on sports media. The sports industry is something I know well and that I could talk about for days. The skills I gained in both my majors are complementary, and I believe they will help me accomplish my dreams.

I was born and raised in Quebec City, Canada. I grew up speaking French and thought that learning a second language was useless until I got the opportunity to play soccer and compete at the collegiate level in the United States. I moved to Memphis in 2015 and fell in love with its Southern culture. I never felt like I was a foreigner in the city. On the contrary, Memphis welcomed me with open arms and worked with me as I learned English. I am thankful for everyone that helped me flourish.
